Globally Harmonized System of Classification and Labelling of Chemicals or GHS is a landmark regulatory standard ensuring global recognition of hazardous materials and how they are handled. Many countries have began the process of training their workers as well as implementing the proper labeling of goods.
GHS regulatory standards have begun with educating anyone handling these materials and the next step is to have complaint labels by December 1st, 2015. A year sounds like enough time but for large corporations the implementation should have started already.
One of the world’s largest beverage producers Coca Cola have reached out to Pragmatyxs to help them not only implement these labeling changes but to do it efficiently.
We will continue to address GHS compliance and its different roles within the industry in future blogs.
